1.Where do you get inspiration? Top three things that inspire you?

I get inspired by odd sounds I hear day to day. I try to sample them back into my music. I look at certain painters like Francis Bacon and Caravaggio when I want to get inspired to create different pieces of art, those guys were ahead of their time to me. A lot of my peers in Chicago really inspire me too, I find a lot of really weird dudes in and around my circle that I talk to and push me to try new things, and it's honestly the best.

 

2.What tips do you have for networking and such for people just starting out?

I'm very antisocial but for people just starting out that are like me, you're going to have to get over it to some degree. I keep a lot of people I'm close and comfortable with around me when I network to make it easier, but confidence is always key. Know yourself and what your about when you network, it really helps when you want to branch out.

3.Other hobbies or interests? What else would you possibly be doing right in life if you had not followed this path?

My main interests are always gonna be art and music, but comics and superheroes are an obsessive hobby. I've been a Spider-Man fan since I was 3, and I've been collecting the comics since then. I keep remembering I need to buy web shooters every now and then. I even got a signature from Stan Lee when I was 15. I also read a lot of Bronze Age comics, I get newer comics whenever I'm in the store, but I love reading oldies. I'm super into playing Minecraft and Grand Theft Auto V, any video games with multiplayer or superheroes is a go for me. I'm also pretty into painting, Watercolor and Oils are really like my favorites right now.

I don't think I'd be doing anything else to be honest, I've always wanted to do art and comics, music is like my youngest passion but I wouldn't trade any of them for the world.

 

4.The top song on your playlist right now?

It's tough to pick a top song but if I had to, it'd be St. Lucia by Future. Some albums I love are SAVE ME and The Wizrd by Future, Finally Dead by Supa Bwe, Voodoo by D'Angelo, and So Much Fun by Young Thug.

5.How do you dress and what do you think it says about you and such? What’s your personal style?

My personal style is pretty snug. I dress brand less and kind of bummy, and on purpose. So usually I thrift, wear my mom's sweaters, or go to UNIQLO. I never really think too much about it, I just like wearing things that are laid back and cozy. I usually think it comes from a weird place or a place of modesty if nothing else. I've tried my best to wear popular or high end brands, but they're always either ugly for no reason or too basic to be so expensive. The most expensive/popular it'll get for me is Hollister, the bigger brands are always weird. I Googled Helmut Lang, Undercover and Gucci a while ago and I still can't tell you why they're popular outside of their fashion shows.
